Hem Pants, Jeans, Dresses

Every person has their own preference in how they like to wear their clothes. Some like their pants to run longer than others, so we can adjust to each person’s own style. Let Out a Dress

If you have a wedding or any other type of dress that is just too small, we can easily alter it making it bigger by letting it out. Letting out a dress means that you are going to make it bigger by using fabric from the seam. It is called letting out because you are letting the fabric out of the seam. Seams are the leftover fabric on the other side of the stitching that holds a garment together. Some wedding gowns or cocktail dresses will intentionally have a lot of seam allowance to allow for alterations.

Taking in a Dress

Sometimes that perfect dress isn’t the perfect size. Our professional seamster can fix that for you. We can adjust a dress that is too large with ease just the way you like. Our tailor will move the seam inward from it’s current position. Measure around your waist and hips. Measure the front and back of the dress at the waist and hips. Subtract the difference of each measurement. This is approximately how much room you need to take in the waist and the hips.
